HopSmash is a free platform fighting game you play in your web browser with up to four friends, and bots in any empty slot. You fight as your own character on a floating island: every hit raises your damage percentage, and the higher it climbs, the further the next hit sends you flying. Knock everyone off the island to win.

What is HopSmash?
HopSmash is a Brawlhalla-style platform fighter. Up to four fighters share Sky Islands, a floating island above the clouds with two soft platforms you can jump through and drop through.
Swords, hammers, spears, gauntlets, bows and scythes fall from the sky, each with its own light and heavy attacks. Bombs and spike mines drop too. Pick a class in the lobby: the balanced Brawler, the heavy Tank, the quick Speedster or the Trickster with an extra air jump.
Play free-for-all with stocks or on the clock, or in 2v2 teams with no friendly fire. Bots fill any empty slot on three difficulties, so you can practise alone.

HopSmash tips
- Hold K to charge a heavy attack: the longer you hold, the harder it hits.
- Lost your jumps off the edge? Press K with W for your recovery move.
- Press L with a direction to dash out of trouble, then jump back.
- Press H to pick up a weapon, and again to throw it like a projectile.
- Watch the damage numbers: past 100% a strong side heavy usually knocks someone out.
How to play HopSmash with friends
- Pick the game. Go to hoplobby.com/games and tap Play on HopSmash.
- Open a lobby. Type a nickname and tap Create HopSmash lobby. No account needed.
- Send one link. Share the lobby link or its six-character code. Friends join from their own browser, and when everyone is ready the game opens full screen for the whole lobby.
Bots fill the empty slots, so you can fight alone or with one friend.

Playing on a phone or tablet? Touch controls are built in, and you can set them to Auto, On or Off in the game’s settings.

Is HopSmash free?
Yes. HopSmash is free to play on HopLobby, with nothing to download and no account needed.
How many players can play HopSmash?
Up to four fighters at once. Bots fill any empty slot, and you can turn them up to Hard.
Is HopSmash like Brawlhalla or Smash Bros?
Yes. It is a platform fighter in the same family: you build up damage on your rivals and knock them off the stage, with weapons that drop from the sky.
Can I play HopSmash with a controller or on a phone?
Yes to both. HopSmash supports keyboard, controller and on-screen touch controls.
How long is a HopSmash match?
A match takes about 3 to 8 minutes, and the host can start a rematch straight from the results.
Can I play HopSmash alone?
Yes. Launch on your own and you fight at least one bot. You can pause from the menu when you play alone.
What modes does HopSmash have?
Free-for-all with stocks, free-for-all on the clock (most KOs minus falls wins), and 2v2 teams with no friendly fire.
Do I need to download anything?
No. HopSmash runs in your web browser on HopLobby. There is nothing to install, and friends join from the browser they already have open.
Do I need an account to play HopSmash?
No account is needed to play. You can sign in with Google if you want to keep your XP, battle pass progress and cosmetics between game nights.
