HopUp is a free climbing race for up to ten players that you play in your web browser. Everyone climbs the same tower of oversized everyday things above Lisbon at the same time. The first player to reach the summit wins, and when time runs out the highest climber wins.

What is HopUp?
The climb starts in Alfama and goes up past rooftops, tiled walls, a tram line in the air, belfries and thin ice, until gravity gets lighter at the edge of space. Nine zones each test a different move.
Sprint, jump and grab ledges, vault, slide under gaps, run along and up tiled walls, kick off them and bounce off trampolines. Press jump as you land on a trampoline for a perfect bounce.
Falling is part of the climb. The host chooses a 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute round, whether a long fall takes you back to your last checkpoint or leaves you where you land, and whether to play the classic tower or a new tower every round.

HopUp tips
- Keep going straight while you hold Shift: your sprint builds up speed.
- Press Space as you touch a trampoline for a perfect bounce.
- Jump at a tiled wall beside you to run along it, or straight at it to run up it.
- Press Ctrl or C while running to slide under low gaps.
- On thin ice, keep moving.
How to play HopUp with friends
- Pick the game. Go to hoplobby.com/games and tap Play on HopUp.
- Open a lobby. Type a nickname and tap Create HopUp lobby. No account needed.
- Send one link. Share the lobby link or its six-character code. Friends join from their own browser, and when everyone is ready the game opens full screen for the whole lobby.
Alone, you can race the judge’s ghost up the tower and chase your best time.

How many people can play HopUp?

Is HopUp like Only Up?
It is in that style: a tall tower of giant everyday objects where one missed jump can send you a long way down. In HopUp you race other players up the same tower.
What happens when you fall in HopUp?
With checkpoints on, a long fall takes you back to your last checkpoint. In hardcore mode you carry on from wherever you land.
Can I play HopUp on a phone?
HopUp uses a mouse and keyboard. Play on a computer.
Do I need to download anything?
No. HopUp runs in your web browser on HopLobby. There is nothing to install, and friends join from the browser they already have open.
Do I need an account to play HopUp?
No account is needed to play. You can sign in with Google if you want to keep your XP, battle pass progress and cosmetics between game nights.
